The clocks work well and are easy to read

Great as a gift!

This clock is great. So easy to see everything. This clock has an 8 inch display area. Large enough to spell out the day and date in full. No abbreviations. The alarm on this is nice also. This clock has a dimming function if you choose touse it. Our clock was even already set when I plugged it in.

No one in this household suffers from dementia, vision impairment, or memory loss (at least not yet) but we do suffer from retirement’s ‘every day is a Saturday syndrome’. If you are retired with no daily commitments, you understand what I mean. This clock is great as a digital calendar. Just plug it in, set correct time for your time zone, and voilà the correct month, date and day is right there before your eyes, every day! It also has some extras such as the time of day, a backup battery in case of electricity loss, 3 separate alarm settings, and large font. It also lets you know if its morning, afternoon, or night for those times when you wake up from a nap and don’t know what day much less what time of day it is. Its great!

Love it! My dad is 94 and starting to have some hard time of day and night confusion. I placed it in his bedroom on the nightstand(as older folks wake up during the night confused). He feels like a million dollars! He says he feels secure and reassured knowing if it is morning or night. I am ordering another for his living room by his recliner !! Definitely worth it to see my loved one secure.

This works well. I just wish they had a larger size, the date at the bottom can be a little hard to read at a distance. Overall, great Clock, does what we need it to do.

It was perfect for an elderly person or someone needing a little help remembering

Mom loves this clock and also nice to set it to the German language option

I needed a light-up clock -this one is very helpful to retired "What day is it?" people.

Nice easy to read product, but at night it dims too much. Purchased for elderly mom? Intended to help mom realize its not morning yet when she wakes in the middle of the night. WI mornings are dark in the winter. Mom heads straight to the kitchen & starts making breakfast @ odd times. Midnight or whenever she wakes.

Great features, easy to set up and easy to use. Large print is also easy to see and has adjustable colors which is great. Best gift ever for someone who needs a few gentle reminders <3

I bought this for my mom March of 2021. Today is February 4th and my mom passed this last Sunday. As I sit here in her apartment awaiting for my siblings to help clean it out, I look over at the clock on the window sill and think how much she commented how much she enjoyed it. I would jokingly say I'll be taking ownership of the clock after she passes and she'd say as long as I didn't take it before then. Almost a year later and it still works fine and easy on the eyes to look at. For anyone who's in need of reminders of day, time of day, and date, I recommend this clock.

Elderly parents were so happy to receive this item. Now they know what day of the week it is.

Ordered this 3 times, it’s wonderful

Bought for my brother in assisted living. It's very helpful to him to see the time, day, date easily.

Excellent clock for older adults, not just adults with dementia.

This is great for those that have a hard time seeing things from far away. Big Bold Letters.

My wife is losing her memory. She constantly asked for day, time and date. Problem solved. I searched long for one that included outside temp. Buy this and get a reliable temp gage with outside sensor. A little more money but accurate all around.

Got this for my Gma who has dementia..Though she may not look at it like i anticipated she still can be aware of the day, month, date, and time of day.

Have 2 of these in our house. In my dad's bedroom & in living room. He was always asking what day it was & now he can see it even though he still asks sometimes. Love that it has big numbers & letters you can read from across the room. It dims a little in the evening so it's not so bright in the dark. Displaying the day, date, & time are very helpful!

Best clock for any age. Will be ordering another one for myself!

My mother has dementia. She would ask the date and time constantly. She also unplugs everything in the house before bed. I just gave her this clock and she loves it. She plugs it in while having her coffee in the morning and it has a small internal battery that picks up the settings without reprogramming. She will occasionally ask the date and I remind her to check her clock. She won't ask again the entire day. I have hers set up in the kitchen and I'm purchasing another for her bedroom. This clock has been very helpful.

I bought two of these clocks for my 91 year old mother. Neither keep good time. The lose about 3-4 minutes per week. Otherwise they are great. Bright and perfect size and very easy to read.
Debbie Earman
I liked waking up to see all pertinent stuff without getting out of bed.!

I ordered this for my mother, who has dementia and forgets the day, year and time. Instead of panicking, she can now just look at this easy to read clock. I think it brings her quite a bit of comfort.

wife has dementia and this clock helps her maintain her medication.

We recently bought for my 93 year old father-in-law with cognitive challenges for his birthday. Brightness and Lettering is large enough to see. It helps remind him what day it is, month, morning, afternoon, or evening, time and date. That helps. He liked it.

My husband or I do not have dimentia. We bought this because of our poor eyesight. We were worried that it would not dim well enough at night but decided to try it. Well, we definitely can see it better, and it dims down extremely well, however you are still able to see. I highly recommend this even to the people with poor eye sight. I would definitely purchase again.

Now my parents can see this one

For those that ask when it's dark - is it morning or afternoon? What is the Day, time, and Date - This is great. And large enough to see from a distance.
Mary A Howard
My uncle depends on this to orient him to time and date and day of the week! Perfect for dementia!
Julie Neiner
This clock really helped my mother practically instantly knowing the date, time and even how old she is!!
This is awesome and I highly recommend!!

This clock does everything it advertises and works great for my aging dad. It has helped with not only time but also knowing the days of the week. In addition I had an issue 3 months after receiving my clock and they were quick to respond. I had a replacement within the week I contacted them. Excellent customer service!!! Overall very satisfied with the product.
Prience Moore
Got it for my 93 year old mother with dementia she loves it.
Grace
I love it because I can't remember from one minute to the next what day it is or the date, I wouldn't mind having another one. I just bought one for my husband (we don't live together) because he said he wish he had one.

My 92 year old mother in law loves this

Perfect for someone with memory deficits.
Kenna
I bought this for my 94yo grandma who has been getting more and more confused about what time of day it is ("is it 5 in the morning or 5 at night??" type of confusion). This has really taken care of that issue for her. I set it up for her, and it's really simple to operate. The letters are a great size. She can read it from across the room. The auto-dim feature is also nice for nighttime- it's still very visible, but the lights won't blind you! You can choose from yellow or white font. We liked the yellow!
beaglesmom
We got this for my 90 year old mother whose eyesight is failing. She can't read her clocks, paper calendars or TV screens and became quite often unaware of times, dates and days of the week. The large display, choices of light colors and auto dim have helped her - and us - a lot!
Ronbro C.
My sweet mother-in-law is 89 years young and has some tremors and pre-parkinsons.We bought this as a gift for her. Super easy to use and set up, plus easy to adjust the time and date. This clock can easily be seen from over 12 feet away. It is a lifesaver as for when she pops up at 4am and wonders as to whether or not it is AM or PM she looks at the clock and it even mentions Dusk/Dawn Or evening. Plus the big bold fontes helps her stay on track with meds 4-5 times a day. Wonderful product and has been a Godsend for our mother and family

The product did exactly what the manufacturer said it would do. Regarding gifting, if the individual you want to give this to, without set up support from any one, has dementia or difficulty understanding, don't gift. Buy it, then go set it up for the person. Value, worth every penny. My parent likes it when they forget the date/time or day. For a person with limited vision remember to set close to where they usually sit or spend their time. I do have to point it out to my parent that the clock will tell you the date/time. Very easy to set up and use.

I bought these for my parents and could not be more pleased at how easy they are to set up and to see. They come with an easel stand, but also are ready to hang. They plug in, so there's no issue with failing batteries. Everything you want to know for quick orientation is instantly available in large, clear type. By the way, the words "Dementia Clock" do not appear anywhere on the product or packaging, so it does its job without insult.

I first bought this 8" Digital Calendar Alarm display clock for my husband who is always asking me what time, day, etc. it is, and further likes this info in the middle of the night occasionally. No, he doesn't have Alz, just demented or demanding; not sure which sometimes. Anyhow, there is a whole other marketing segment that this clock could be directed to. Most of the reviews start with ... I bought this for my 102-year old ...etc. I am a few years from that and liked the clock so much that I bought a second one for my office desk. I'm way past retirement, but still work as a technical writer person for a computer company of all things. Think of this being marketed in neon colors, different shapes, etc. for the younger set. I will admit the "morning" as well as "A.M." designation is a tad redundant. But I LOVE THIS CLOCK! 12/26/17

Amazing product, helps soooo much with meal planning. Even though it's expensive it's been the most helpful thing for my dad to know what time it is and when to eat. If you're struggling with those things as a caregiver I highly recommend this product!

I do not write reviews unless a product really blows me or away or is junk. This clock was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I wanted a digital clock that could be seen from anywhere in the living/dining room. I do not care for the garish look of LED digital alarm clocks, I wanted something more stylish and modern. It gives lots of information on the screen and is easy to read even with my vision. My doctor says I have 20/20 with my glasses on but most digital LCD clocks are too hard to read depending on light or distance from you. This clock has excellent auto dimming capabilities for Day/Night and easily seen from across the room. I have it hanging just above my big screen TV and love it!
Greentree Maine
The information display is wonderful. It delivers the information about the day, date, time and time period of the day.clearly and without ambiguity. It is large enough to be easily read without being too big.
Paul B.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Anyone who has a family member or friend that has any form of memory loss from dementia or any memory loss disease, this product is a must have. The numbers and letters are big enough so that people with bad vision can read it. It helps when my dad get confused about what day it is because at the very top in big letters in all caps the day itself is spelled out and the date and year are at the bottom. Also it tells him what time it is not only by the clock but by spelling out Morning, mid-morning, afternoon, mid-day and so on. The best part was the set up because other than plugging in thats all there was to set up. It has a global satellite tech so it syncs as soon as you turn on and the time and date will always be accurate.

I am getting to an age in retirement when I sometimes must be reminded what day it is, or that it is dinner time. This is a constant easy-to-read reminder that sits on the TV stand so I can see it all of the time. I would like to have put it on the wall, but it is runs off a wall plug and I didn't want the wire running down the wall. I couldn't find anything like this that ran on batteries, so I guess it would eat up too many batteries. It's a bit pricey to be sure, but since it's the only thing I could find that fit my needs for visibility, I guess they can charge what they want.

Love the clock, and so does my 88 year old father with macular degeneration!!! The wood grain frame looks really great in his living room! The setup was super easy!!! My only suggestion would be, to make it or at least offer a model with a bit larger screen. My Dad can read the Day and Time with no problem; but he has to get right on top of it to read the period of the day and especially the date. (Main reason I got it was for time and day of week, so not a really big deal for me, right now.) Enlarging the screen just an inch or two, would allow you to make all the information larger! My Dad has already lost complete vision in one eye and his other is slowly deteriorating. In another year or so, he may not be able to read the day and time anymore! Other than that; absolutely fantastic product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would, without a doubt, recommend this clock to anyone with a loved one whose sight is diminishing!!!!!!

My wife and I invited our parents to live with us this past March 2016. My dad was struggling with dementia. So many times he would come in with a worried and confused look on his face asking me what time it was but especially whether it was morning or evening. One time I got up at 5:30 in the morning and he was already at the breakfast table eating and I asked him what he was doing. He replied back "It's suppertime, what do you think I'm doing?!" I purchased this clock and spent the next few days training him to use it. Since the purchase of this clock never once has he asked me whether it's morning or night. He has never once come to me with that worried and confused look on his face concerning the time of day.. I really believe it's giving him a lot more dignity in his life. I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

This is a great clock for those who have difficulty seeing a regular clock during the night. Nice large display that I can see from the other side of the bed without my glasses on easily. Generally speaking it is very easy to use, and mine set itself as soon as I plugged it in. My only complaint is it is difficult to get alarm settings right as it defaults to 12AM and in order to have just one alarm (just me using it) you have to set all the alarms at the same time or it will be waking you up in the middle of the night. They need to take out this default thing or give you an option to turn a specific alarm off. If that is possible with this clock, I can't figure it out.

I can't begin to tell you how much this device as improved my mother's life. My mom is 95 years old and in assisted living. She told me the other day that she was upset because she cannot remember what day it is anymore. To make a long story short, she's had this clock/calendar for about 10 days now and there is a marked improvement in her emotional state. She is much happier and feels that she is not loosing control of her life. I would highly recommend this clock/calendar to anyone. It is a nice size, about 8 inches in height and sits on a table or desk like a picture frame. Most importantly, it improves the lives of those that you love.

Purchased for my Dad. Great tool to help with keeping him date and time-aware. He knows to look at the clock before asking. I started working with him on this while still in the post-acute setting, before getting him home. It helped with the transition. This will not fix sundowning, but reassures him. We talk about what people do at certain times, to give reference points. Unrelated to the memory issue, he has a hard time reading across/or jumbling the lines and transposes numbers. After the fact, I thought that a scroll of one line at a time (and holding each line for a minute) would be helpful. Maybe it exists - but if not, something to consider!

This is a great clock for the elderly and those with dementia to help them stay on track. I bought this for my mom who would habitually get up at night thinking it was much earlier than it was. Now she can see it as soon as she leaves the bathroom and knows if it's time to get up. Very bright LED display even with dimming option. My mom faces clock away from her at night so the light won't shine in her face. That would be the only thing I would change. A much dimmer option for night would be great. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a product like this!

Ordered this for my 85 yr old mom who has early stage dementia. She absolutely LOVES this clock. Before, she could not remember what day it was. She prefers the softer yellow letters which she can easily read from across the room and which auto-dim at 7pm. She said that this would be an excellent Christmas present for any elderly person. Set-up is simple. Unbox it, plug it in and press the menu button on the back to access the on-screen menus. All the menu options aren't displayed at the same time. Simply scroll down to see the other options such as display color or to turn off auto-dimming. It is a/c powered and does not, to my knowledge, have a battery backup. We did not try the alarm feature. This is a cool clock for any elderly person.
